Classroom time will be spent at the all-new state-of-the-art Meridian Community College Workforce Development training facility. The classroom space provides a quiet, clean, comfortable environment for students to listen to lectures, study, complete firearms practical exams, and take weekly written exams. This facility offers new classrooms, computer labs, and a breakroom.
RS&A Firearms Training Academy is proudly sponsored by Unitron Microscopes.
All students will complete their microscope comparisons using Unitron Comparison Microscopes. However, the academy also provides access to both Leeds and Leica comparison microscopes for training purposes. No matter what brand your agency or laboratory uses, the RS&A Firearms Training Academy has you covered.
*All Comparison Microscopes will be outfitted with HD cameras for documentation of practical exercises.
Meridian Community College (MCC), in Meridian, Mississippi, recently celebrated the opening of its Gene Haas Advanced Manufacturing Center. The all-new CNC learning lab features 9 Haas CNC machine tools and 14 Haas CNC simulators, and is anticipated to be a catalyst for growth throughout the region. A $250,000 grant was awarded to MCC from the Gene Haas Foundation to help fund the lab’s development.
The centerpieces of the CNC lab include a 5-axis Haas UMC-500SS universal machining center, and a multitasking Haas ST-30Y turning center with Y-axis and live tooling. Four additional Haas mills, two additional Haas CNC lathes, a Swiss turn lathe, a Zeiss CMM, and numerous manual lathes, mills, drill presses, and band saws round out the equipment inside the lab for hands-on learning.

**During the manufacturing tour week, RSA will make reservations for each student along the routes of travel. This can be paid by each agency to each hotel directly, or RSA can pay and then invoice the agency. Hotel rates vary by location, but RSA will negotiate the best rate at each stop.
